Guaranteed working method for alcohol law

Responsible alcohol sales are very important to Unobezorgt. Unobezorgt does not want to deliver alcohol to people under the age of eighteen when ordering alcoholic beverages.

This document, the guaranteed method, describes how we give substance to responsible distance selling. In other words, how the age limit at Unobezorgt is guaranteed from the moment of ordering (by telephone or online) up to and including the moment of delivery. This satisfies the requirement set in article 20A section 1 sub b of the Alcohol Act that one must have a method that guarantees that the alcoholic beverage is only delivered to the addressee's address and that the age of the person to whom the alcoholic beverage is provided is determined and that this method is also used.

This document is up-to-date and can be requested at any time. The document is updated at least once a year (following an evaluation) and with every change in the situation. The secured method describes:

  1. How Unobezorgt monitors the age limit from ordering alcohol sales to delivery;
  2. How Unobezorgt ensures that the working method is made clear and transparent for employees, own delivery personnel and/or others who work under the responsibility of Unobezorgt.
  3. How Unobezorgt checks for the correct compliance with the guaranteed method and how, following evaluations of the method, any changes are implemented.


    1. Process (in accordance with article 5.2, paragraph 1 under a and b of the Alcohol Decree)
  • When ordering online, the buyer is required to indicate that he or she is at least 18 years of age or older.
  • When ordering by telephone, the buyer is asked whether he or she is 18 years or older. In all cases, the customer is also informed that upon delivery, the person receiving the order must be 18 years or older and must also identify themselves if requested.
  • Unobezorgt's own employees (deliverers) check the date of birth upon delivery using the delivery details and the ID that you have ready. If you have already been identified by a previous check by the own deliverer and you are recognized by the own deliverer and/or it is evident that you are older than 25 years, this can also be seen as verification. However, identification at the request of the deliverer remains mandatory at all times.
  • Delivering to neighbours is not permitted. The order will be taken back to the store by the delivery person. Upon presentation of a valid ID, the order can be collected from the store within 48 hours. If the order is not collected, we will refund the total amount excluding delivery costs.
  • The deliverers receive an order slip with each order, which lists all the ordered items. This allows the deliverer to check when alcoholic beverages are delivered.

    2. Information provision for employees (in accordance with article 5.2, section 1 under c of the Alcohol Decree)

    All Unobezorgt employees are informed about the consequences of not complying with the sales regulations. Each employee is expected to extract the regulations from this document. The latest version of this document is printed out and always available to Unobezorgt employees. Our employees are also actively informed about the sales regulations and the importance of complying with them during work meetings. 

    3. Inspection (in accordance with article 5.2, section 1 under d of the Alcohol Decree     )

    The owner orders a sample at another address and supervises the working method and age verification to check whether the deliverer is performing his work correctly. The owner is present during this inspection. The entire process and all associated steps will be checked at least once a year. If our periodic check shows that our own employees are not working as agreed, immediate action will be taken. If it concerns an error by one of our employees, he or she will be retrained to complete the process correctly.

    The most recent check took place on September 16, 2022 with order number #29931.

    If changes to the process are necessary for whatever reason, they will be implemented immediately and all employees will be informed digitally. Employees will also receive a new physical copy of the process to be followed. If necessary, training will also follow to clarify and master the new method.
